about ME

Storytelling Through Socials, Film & Culture

Hi I'm Lily Rafferty

a creative storyteller and social media strategist focused on building connection through video.
My work sits at the intersection of culture, creativity, and community. Whether it’s a short-form video reaching millions or a quiet, emotional film, I’m interested in one thing: how stories make people feel.
Over the past few years, I’ve created content viewed by hundreds of millions of people, working with globally recognised brands like Ryanair and Duolingo. Across both roles, I’ve produced over 300 videos, helped grow audiences into the millions, and contributed to campaigns recognised at an international level.
But beyond the numbers, my work has always been about something deeper. I’m drawn to storytelling that feels human — stories that reflect real emotions, shared experiences, and the complexities of everyday life.

That’s what drives everything I create.

Beyond The Brief

When I’m not creating content for global brands, I’m writing scripts, watching films, and looking for stories hiding in everyday moments. Dublin is a city full of them.
I’m deeply interested in Irish cinema — the quiet, specific, human dramas that have defined our national storytelling. Films like An Cailín Ciúin , Small Things Like These , and Once are close to my heart and have shaped how I think about visual honesty.

I’m starting an MA in Film at UAL in September, with the goal of expanding my practice from social-first storytelling into longer-form narrative cinema.
